‘REKORDWAGEN’

Limited edition

Jonny Ambrose 2019

Polished Nickel Plated Aluminium, Oak & Acryclic base.

480 x 160 x 60 mm approximate.

Inspiration:

The aerodynamic lines of the 1938 Mercedes W125 Rekordwagen are the inspiration behind this minimalist, contemporary work of art.

Although the Rekordwagen wasn’t a LSR car as such, it did hold the record of 432.7 km/h (268 mph) for the fastest car on a public highway from 1938 for 79 years until 2017.

‘AERODYNAMIC AIRFLOW’

2018

Unique piece, 1 of 1 only.

Oak Hardwood, Corian, Printed Composite.

1000 x 270 x 60 mm, (wall mounted or free standing).

The beautiful curves of the legendary Porsche 917, pictured here in early long tail guise. The flowing oak depicts the air being sucked up underneath the car whilst the twisted wooden tail depicts the air disturbance from the long tail body. The air settles again to calm at the end of the oak veneer section.
